A new software update for the iPad is making it easier for customers to download software updates, but some customers are saying they’re not happy.
A new update for Microsoft’s operating system for the latest iPhone and iPad devices is making the process easier for users to download updates.
A spokesperson for Microsoft confirmed the update to CBC News on Monday.
“If you’re experiencing issues with software, we’re updating your devices,” the spokesperson said in an email.
“We are also updating the operating system and updates for our other products.”
A few customers say they are experiencing software issues, including the inability to log into their Macs, a rare and costly issue.
One customer who is a Mac user, but does not use the iPad, said it’s been difficult to get software updates for a long time.
“I’m very frustrated,” said the customer.
“You have to go through the whole process to get the update and I’ve been stuck for weeks trying to get an update.”
But this new software is coming as part of a major software upgrade that comes out every few months.
“It’s not a lot of information.
I just want to get it out of the way,” the customer said.
“And they don’t really explain that to people.”
CBC News reached out to Microsoft, but has not heard back yet.
“To our knowledge, this is the first time in our history that we’ve ever issued software updates in this way,” said Microsoft spokesperson David R. Anderson in an interview.
“There are a number of other ways that we update our products, and we’re working on those as well.”
“We’re confident that we’re delivering updates that will satisfy our customers’ needs and will ensure they have the best software experience available,” he added.
“This will also reduce the number of customers impacted by unexpected issues.”
The iPad, iPhone and iPod touch were released last month, but the software update is coming on top of the operating systems that were released for them.
“It’s really disappointing that Microsoft would release an update that will only address some of the software issues and not other software problems, said Rob McNeil, an independent software developer in Calgary, Alberta.
McNeil said he was one of many customers who were disappointed with the update.
I was really hoping that they would have been more forthcoming about the update, but they’re still not,” he said.
The Apple iOS and Android operating systems are supported by the company’s own software and updates.
The company says it has updated all its software on both the iPhone and iPads over the last year.
Some of the updates are in response to user complaints that the operating-system update is not as comprehensive as some others.
A spokesperson for Apple said that the update has made it easier to update the operating and operating-processes for both of its operating systems.
